We went to storytime in the morning, then unfortunately had to go to her one year check up. :( The check up went great! She is 28 inches (50-75th percentile) and 21.8 pounds (50th percentile). I just felt bad that she had to get shots on her birthday. She had 2 in each leg AND then they told me they take a little bit of blood to test for lead. They did a small prick to her finger then squeezed it out by the drop into a little vial. I felt so bad for the poor girl. Daddy had to work, so our friend Rachel came with us. She is due to have a baby girl next month. One of the shots Elizabeth received was varicella (chickenpox) and that is a live vaccine, so we are supposed to keep a little distance from Rachel now for 2 weeks so we don't get the baby sick. We didn't know that information when we brought her along to the appointment.
After the doctor, we brought some cupcakes up to the hangar and saw daddy at work. After that we had a meeting.
All in all, it was a very busy day with hardly any time at home. But, we made up for it with a party on Saturday... pictures coming in the next post. :)
but sometimes I still like to be held, too.
Sitting at my table (one of my birthday presents!) We color here and sometimes have small snacks, too!
