Picture time!

Wow! Where does the time go? Elizabeth is already three weeks old! It is so hard to believe. She has already changed so much since we brought her home from the hospital. The first picture below is from one of her first days home, the swing one from a week later, and the last two were just taken today.

Our baby girl continues to bring a lot of joy to our lives! She went through a week where she wanted to be awake and crying from 11 pm - 2 am, but last night she did a great job sleeping until she wanted to eat every 3 or 4 hours. Mom and Dad were grateful! :)

Buddy LOVES his little sister! He seems to be fairly protective of her. He loves to kiss her when we bring her home from any outing, and he HAS to be in the same room with her... so even for those 3 am diaper changes, he follows me to her room and stays with us until the deed is done!

Kyle is an amazing daddy. It was love at first sight for those two. I love seeing them together.

Well... Elizabeth is calling! She just woke up from a nap.

We like to call Elizabeth our little "gloworm" (remember the little gloworm toys?) when she is all swaddled up like this!

It's swing time!!

I believe this is actually our first family picture! :)

Elizabeth in her cute little onesie that a friend made and sent to her. Can you see her name on it?

Bundle of Joy

Here is a picture of Elizabeth and me when she was about 2 days old to kind of show off her size a little.

Well, the dad decided to finally post something on the blog, since well, it is the Maki Blog. So Elizabeth is now almost 3 weeks old and she amazes us every day with something new. One night we get plenty of sleep and the next we get hardly any sleep. Well I should say Melody gets less sleep than I do, but she is doing a great job as a new Mom. We are all learning as we go, but I will say both of them amaze me every day.

We took her to Elizabeth to her 2 week check-up and she is doing great. She gained just under a pound and great about an inch and a half. She is going to be as big as me in a couple of weeks if she keeps this up.

So, I am in the Night Phase of Apaches right now and everyday it is a little more fun. I probably have the best job in the Army, and to be honest it is almost just as fun to stay home with the new little one. That is, of course, when she actually lets us sleep at night.

Well I guess I better cut this post off now. Hopefully we will be able to post a little more now that we are kind of getting into a routine.
