A Weekend in Georgia

The guys - Cameron, David, Jason, and Kyle

The Army Wives - Kara, Paula, Me, and Sara

This weekend we had a chance to visit with some friends in Columbus, GA. We had a great time. There were 4 of us couples that went to college together, plus lots of other folks we all knew from various places. It was fun to see everybody and have some time to relax and hang out away from home! There was also lots to celebrate... Jason's birthday, Jason and Kara's pregnancy, David and Paula's first anniversary, and Cameron and Sara's recent marriage. It was also great to introduce everyone to Elizabeth.

Palm Sunday and Big Girl Toys!

Apparently, it is time to start shopping in the 6 month section of the toy aisle at Target! :) Here is Elizabeth with one of her newest toys... the "crawl along" drum set. She can sit up with it like this to hit the tops and make music, or we can collapse it in the middle and it will roll along for her to crawl after. She loved it when we opened it for her this evening. It is so cute to see how excited she gets over little things.

And here is Elizabeth yesterday, on Palm Sunday. Like any good little Lutheran baby, she enjoyed waving her palm branch around at church. Until she started hitting the folks in the pew in front of us, and mom realized she had no clue if palm branches were dangerous for babies to touch or lick.
Elizabeth will be 6 months old next week. She is losing interest in her bouncy seat and swing. Much to mom's chagrin, I might add, as the bouncy was my "safe place" for her when I had to shower without Kyle at home. Oh well. She is on to bigger and better things... like the ExerSaucer and moving around on the floor! She is really starting to lunge forward for things and stick her little bottom up in the air as she tries to get her knees underneath her. It is fun to watch.
She also has both teeth in on the bottom... and she has started her chewing and drooling again, so number three is probably not too far behind. We can't see anything yet... so who knows which one. We assume one on the top.
Hope you all have a wonderful week and a blessed Easter celebration this weekend! He is Risen!

A tooth already?

We determined this week that Elizabeth has been pre-teething. The constant chewing, crying, night waking, etc. were dead giveaways. And then we noticed something yesterday... a little tooth peeking through already. We couldn't believe it. We are glad her pre-teething phase didn't last too long and she moved right into the real deal! :) It is hard to believe our little lady has a tooth already! It is hard to see right now in a photo, but we will post one when the tooth is more visible.
